The Everett Moore Baker Memorial Foundation is an MIT Presidential Institute Committee. The Foundation serves to perpetuate the memory of Dean Everett Moore Baker, a staunch protagonist for the consideration of human beings as individuals, a vigorous proponent of a broad educational policy, a dynamic extra-curricular program, and a congenial physical and intellectual environment at MIT and an ardent worker toward friendly relations among the peoples of all nations.
The Foundation strives to fulfill this goal by pursuing long-term initiatives, encouraging and supporting student initiatives, awarding the Baker Excellence in Teaching Award, funding Baker Fellowships, and reporting on the status of the Institute in our Annual Report.
